That is SOOOOOOO wrong ...
How can you say that already seeing its only been a few short months ?

Once D* decides to allow the rest of the recvrs to work WITH the HS17, things will pick up considerably for the HS17 .... until then they will have a ton of subs that prefer to keep the set up that they have with the H/HR series. There are so many more options available with the older system vs the newer one.

But isn’t that way it is now, you have 7 tuners but only two 4K channels can be watched at once, so whats the difference? I’d rather have more regular tuners than not.

If they were going to do that, I think they would have done it from day one. The decision that an HS17 can't be used with older equipment is unlikely to change. What will need to change to make that palatable for the people who have/want more than just a Genie/clients today will be letting people have more than HS17. The complaint about not working with older hardware isn't that people really want to keep their HR24s forever, but the limitations imposed by only allowing one HS17.

What I'm talking about is something where the total number of channels you can watch is higher if they are all HD, i.e. you get 15 tuners if they are all HD but you get only 7 if they are all 4K, and somewhere in between if you watch/record a mix of HD and 4K. Do you think that's something Directv wants to explain to their customers? Since the number of people who will ever use more than 7 tuners is extremely small, its easier just to call it 7 tuners. What they end up doing about customers who want more is irrelevant to that - they'd have the problem of some customers wanting more whether the limit was 7, 15, or 35.

There is a very slim chance of that appeal going thru ... when the merger went thru it was explained that there would be no need as it doesn't restrict anyone, its not like they use to compete with one another.

Yea, right. Again

You obviously feel different ....

You can read the report your self if you want, look it up ...

More than likely your one of those, anything att does is wrong, so its not worth it for me to explain to you.

No that's not the case at all, in fact it's more likely that you're one of the ones who thinks everything AT&T does is great because you either work for them or are a stock holder or both, so you'll turn a blind eye to this obvious anti trust problem. I also know that you always feel compelled to get the last word so go ahead and as long as it's not another attack or personal insult I'll just go ahead and ignore it.
