Was having problems with some channels dropping out on my Hits2home service today, so I called the program provider to see if they were aware of any downlink problems with their services. (you know, that "programming-center.net place?") I was informed quickly that it was fine and it was MY problem, and to tune my dish.
Having already done all that before calling, I asked if it might be time again for the solar outage problem, but I was told that those don't happen any more, it was only back when satellite channels were all analog, and that "digital doesn't have that problem"
I thought I'd let everyone else know, since I've only had c-band since about 1988 and it has happened twice a year since then. LOL
Maybe the sun has moved!

Fatair I think its on 101w, but it's been awhile since I aimed that dish, its a parked dish of course. I'm sure its not at 275E though, haha. Seriously I think I saw Oct3-13 for this area , so its not too far away.

If you put the dish on a shorter pole, it will be further away from the sun so that should help. That's how it works, right? ;)
