No used games on PS3?

If true, how would this be different than the licensing scheme Microsoft came up with for their products which enforce product activation and are tied to the specific machine they are installed on.

Not saying it's ok, but apparently the sheeple have blindly accepted this practice and it's bound to become more widespread.
 
As worded, this is only a retail thing, people will still be able to trade, sell online, in the paper, garage sale, etc. Not a big surprise. They don't want the retailers competing vs themselves side by side.
 
This is a rumor from like 6 months ago, and was shot down almost 6 months ago. Who's rehashing this to get some people riled up? Old news.

I would agree with it if they did it, but they aren't, and they've said they aren't, repeatedly.

I don't get what you're talking about... since when MS locks games to machines?
 
He's talking about peripherals, and I didn't even know MS was doing that. You saying you can't take your controller to a friend's house and use it there?
