Non Reponsive 721

I have had a 721 for several years and couple weeks ago it became non reponsive. I have held the power button in, unplugged the unit for a whole day and plugged back in, all it does is spin the hard drive up. Does anyone have any advice to revive or should I look for a replacement.

Welcome to SatelliteGuys! Get the DHPP plan if you do not already have and then call Dish...

I you go the "warranty route" then do the above. Call up DISH and see what they can do for you.

If you do not care about voiding your warranty, then you can...

1. Open 721 and unplug power or IDE cable from hard drive.
2. Boot up until it comes to a screen saying something about working without a hard drive.
3. Power off and plug back in hard drive.
4. Boot back up and see if it fixes issue.

*** Be really careful with the case off. The power supply has been known to fail by hitting the case cover on the side of the 721 while the 721 power is on.
