Official DISH Channel Request Thread

Why does POP show Growing Pains in letterboxed widescreen in a SD window? Since Growing Pains is originally 4x3 SD, why truncate/stretch it? Is it the channel doing it, or is it Dish?

Welcome to the Official SatelliteGuys DISH Channel Request thread!

In an attempt to make it easier for DISH employees to see and record new channels requests we have created this thread!

If you have a channel you would like DISH to add to their programming lineup we ask that you post it here in this thread! This thread will be monitored by DISH employees and your feedback will be submitted on a regular basis!

If you see a channel mentioned here that you agree should be added to the DISH lineup then plase click on the LIKE or THANKS Button to voice your support for that channel instead of posting your request seperately. Please encourage your friends who might also want your channel added to vote here as well. The more popular a channel is the better chance it has to be added to the DISH lineup so please make your voice heard!

PLEASE ONLY POST ONE CHANNEL REQUEST PER POST AND NOT A GROUP SO THAT OTHER MEMBERS CAN LIKE TO VOICE THAT THEY WANT THAT CHANNEL ADDED TOO! POSTS WITH MORE THEN ONE CHANNEL BEING REQUESTED WILL BE REMOVED. IN ADDITION PLEASE JUST TELL US THE CHANNEL YOU WANT. NOT THE STORY OF WHY YOU WANT THAT CHANNEL.

We ask that you do not make requests for new channels in other threads or posts.

So if you have a channel you want on DISH that hasn't been requested in this tread then please request it here! See a channel mentioned here that you would also want on DISH then click on thanks or like so your vote can be counted by the DISH team!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a channel request thread only. Not a channel request discussion thread. Non channel requests will be removed as will duplicate channel requests. Remember if you like a channel that has been requested and you want to see it added as well remember to use the likes system!

Thanks for being SatelliteGuys!

There are several channels available on regular antenna that are not available on DISH. As instructed above, I am leaving 5 new posts requesting at least 5 of these channels. I also realize that if any of these channels have been previously requested my post maybe deleted.

Okay are we cool now?

My first request is for GRIT.

Are you requesting the programming guides for your "antenna channels". If so, and you don't already have them, you most likely won't. The channels themselves on a Sat? No, won't happen.

NHK World in HD. Can even add it to the Japan international package alongside TV Japan. This channel should be free to carry, as it is available on FTA satellite and free to stream online as well.

Please work to add the CW affiliate WWLP-2 in the Springfield, MA market in time for next fall. I know its a substation of WWLP NBC which you already provide, but the CW has lots of popular shows like The Flash and Arrow, and in the fall Supergirl moves from CBS to the CW. Also Dish is the only provider in our market that does not have this channel in HD. Provided by Comcast, Charter and DirectTV

Is this thread still monitored? If so, I would like to request EPG information for two OTA channels in San Luis Obispo, CA. The two channels only list "Digital Service" under the guide. The corresponding satellite stations do show information in the EPG.

24-01 KKFX-HD – This is the same channel as the satellite channel 24-00 KKFX San Luis Obispo, CA (FOX) - 7238
24-02 KCOY -- This is the same channel as the satellite channel 12-00 KCOY SANTA MARIA, CA (CBS) - 7236

Just came back to Dish from Directv - please - TV Land in HD. When it was all old shows, eh. But they now have some very good original programming, you even see the ads for the shows in HD on other Dish channels, and it's painful to go back to watching them in SD. :(

I would like to request the Premier League Extra Channels on NBC Sports in HD (they are currently carried in SD only).

Thanks,
Tim
