Old Receivers - what to do with them

I have a fair amount of older receivers that I don’t use or are obsolete... I’m not sure what I should do with them.

I have seen others post receivers on eBay, but not sure if it would be beneficial to do that or simply recycle them.

Actually, recycling centers are generally happy to get them for the gold in them.

I’m not surprised - the bad thing for me is if had have to pay to have them recycled where I live...

So what exactly would be considered “gold” to them in the receivers?
