On demand recordings skipping?

I'm having issues with my HWS when it comes to in demand recordings. They will skip occasionally. Usually just a few seconds but it can jump a couple minutes.

This happens when I'm watching it as they download or when they have been there for days. Any ideas, is this a known issue?

It doesn't matter what show i download from on demand it will still skip

Have you tried resetting the receiver?

Can you describe the skip. Is there a blank screen for a while?

Remind me of a dvd skipping. It plays fine then the audio and video both just jump a few seconds/minutes ahead

If it's all movies and shows, then it sounds like the hopper or an issue with your connection. I haven't been able to duplicate this but I can try a specific title to be sure.

It's not just you and it's not your connection. I have the same issue and it's definitely a Hopper problem. I posted this thread on the official Dish forums: bit.ly/YH6DI2

I had a few pms back and forth w/ the social media team, but nothing definitive, other than that latest response you can see in the thread.
