I have a new GA-P32-DQ6 from Gigabyte.

It has built on, a pretty good Realtek audio system.

I made sure it is on in the bios, options are AUTO, or disabled, so I set to auto.

I installed the latest drivers 1.87

Vista w/ or without/ SP1 does not see it at all!

It does not show up in Device Manager with our without Exclamation points.

The driver install does complete and I do reboot, because I can uninstall it.

Vista shows a speaker with an X thru it saying 'No sound output devices are installed'

Anyone have this board and know an answer?

Failing that, anyone try any USB sound systems, like Turtle beach or Soundblasters?

I have this device but on a different MBoard, Windows Vista Upgrade advisor say i will need to install a new driver, which my mobo provider has as 6.01 for vista.

The realtek site has a 1.88 version that might help
Realtek

Let me know how it works out as im thinking about an upgarde and this device is one reason i have been holding off.
