OT0 & Diplexers: Power Pass for antenna or satelite feed?

Hello,

I bought four MCR DIP-22 Diplexers to hook up an OTA antenna (DB8) with my Dish Service. On the roof, which side do I hook the OTA antenna feed into, the 5 - 862 MHz, or the 950 - 2250 MHz (Power Pass)? I will assume that I just follow the same logic on the reverse end.

Also, I have the DB8 on the roof now pointed in the general direction that I will mount it permanently tomorrow. I was surprised that I have absolutely no signal right now, so I assume I need a pre-amp unless my wiring is way off.

Lastly, I am not sure where I split the signal back out behind the reciever. I have a ViP722 and ViP222 with separate room feeds on each. The wiring was pretty complex even before I added the diplexer.

I have no problem with the satellite reception with this hookup, just wondering if this is the proper way to get the OTA split out given the system I have.

Thanks!
Janx
