I am not sure the Hagerstown stations have made any announcements. April is just around the corner though. the FCC repacking bunny may have some announcements to drop.

First, the government says "we're here to help you." You know the rest.

Snide? Yes. I think they're taking away too much OTA TV spectrum, considering 5G, and KNOW IT.

can someone explain the transition phases?
There will be ten phases where various markets will be scheduled to make their transitions. All stations in each phase will be expected to make their move and be up and running by the end of the phase. Stations filing for hardship waivers may be given a few extra weeks to make their move.

The FCC website has a more complete (and considerably more obfuscatory) explanation that has been linked to previously in this thread. As with many FCC documents, the explanatory PDF finds each page covered with as much as 60% footnotes.

They haven't made any public announcements so you haven't missed anything.

The one public announcement that is expected will be the results of the reverse and forward auctions and that is expected mid-April (after the whole auction process is complete). There is some speculation that the repack schedule will not be publicly announced.

In the end, the repack is coming and there's nothing we can do to change that. It sure would be nice to know at least what frequencies will be in play for each market. For now, the posts that Voyager6 mentioned in post #26 are about as good as it gets.

According to the Richmond Times Dispatch both WNVC and WNVT will disappear in exchange for $182 million which will be used to support other public stations in VA.

Well I hope everyone have big pockets to come
White house FCC Ethernet Pervaders can charge
Whatever they won't no cap's time to boycott, or vote
Is this supposed to be some new form of Haiku?

The FCC operates under the direction of Congress, not the executive branch.

I saw a story a few weeks back how a university-based station had sold their channel to pour the proceeds into their general fund.

The lack of an announcement about WUTB in Baltimore has led to speculation that it will be shut down. No word yet from Sinclair or the nominal owner Deerfield Media.
