OTA for hopper install today

I am upgrading to the hopper. Been very long time customer. What would it take to have an OTA module installed? Don't guess the one from the 722 would work.

ONCE you have the Hopper activated, you can order from the Dish store. And there's nothing to installing.

The OTA module for the Hopper is an USB port connection.

I assume you have an OTA antenna. Coax to one end of the OTA module, USB out the other into the Hopper, and s/w installs automatically.

You can run it via a usb 2 hub

If you do, I recommend a powered hub.

BTW, I have run it thru a powered hub, and straight, and find it works more reliably plugged directly into the receiver. YMMV.

I've been using a 4 port hub. I have the ota module, 2 ehd's and a cooling mat hooked to it. No problems.

They say they want it flat on the shelf so that it does not hang from the cable.

I think that is so there is no strain on the cables that may cause the dongle to pull out of the usb port.
