OTA no working after Update

Sounds like some folks here figure all hope is lost for ever getting the single tuner OTA dongle to work again.
While they may still end up getting them back to working, I'm the personality type that gets something back to working asap and moves on.

I currently have the dual tuner OTA adapter. I don't understand how this will solve my issue of the Hopper counting satellite channels as OTA channels when scheduling an OTA recording?
Oops, sorry....just went back and more carefully read your post about your issue. Yes, that is strange that you are getting this error.

It is a strange problem. I'm also confused as to why I am the only person complaining about this. I'm sure there are other people using the dual tuner adapter and trying to record shows. It would be great if someone with a dual tuner adapter could try to reproduce the issue. Have two satellite network shows scheduled to record and then try to schedule an OTA show during the same time slot. I will attach a photo of what I'm seeing from the Hopper.

Are you able to schedule OTA recordings using the dongle? If I try to schedule a recording and have two shows already scheduled to record the Hopper tells me that no tuners are available. The scheduled shows creating the conflict are not OTA networks. They are shows delivered by satellite, such as TBS and CNBC. No other OTA shows are scheduled to record but I get the "no tuners available" error. The Hopper seems to be confused about the networks that should be counted as OTA. I have the Hopper 3 with H711 software and the Hopper Plus with version P15315. My dual tuner OTA model is P/N 213293.
This appears to be an anomaly of the Hopper+.
My H3 on software H711 has a dual tuner OTA adapter and I was able to set timers on two satellite channels and one on an OTA channel with no error messages.

To further clarify that, I have an H3 with no Hopper+ plugged in. Charles has an H3 with a Hopper+ plugged in. Just saying H3 is not quite enough information.
I have a dual OTA adapter attached to my H3+ and also another dual OTA adapter attached to my other H3. Wife has H3+ TV tied up right now. I can test whatever you wish tomorrow. Please post again exactly what setup to test.

WOW. About three or four weeks ago my OTA channels disappeared, and my H3 did not recognize my OTA dongle. After the usual disconnects and connecting back, nothing changed. Didn't have much time to follow up til today, when I checked the USB cable and other things, everything in perfect work order but the OTA dongle not being recognized by the H3. Came here and found this thread describing my exact issue.
So, yes, H3 with single tuner OTA dongle, H711, all the usual suspects....
At least now I know the root of the issue.
So... wait for Dish to update the software and fix the issue, send a Dual Tuner to all of us, or buy one myself... as I understand those are our options. Right?

Unfortunately, the dual tuners are rare as hens teeth.
Amazon is almost out of supply.
I don't know if anyone else has any.
Dish needs to manufacture some more if they are disabling the single tuner version (which they have done - hopefully accidentally).
This appears to be a case of coders fixing something that broke something else with absolutely no beta testing for this possibility.

Has anyone tried one of the Pace International Over The Air Tuner Adapters for sale on Amazon - looks like the Dish Network one but what's inside?

610-001 Over The Air Tuner Adapter

There is an AirTV compatible dual tuner here - https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m71740833396/ for less than $15

Ahh....gotcha. I tend to not even think about the Hopper Plus because I have chosen not to install them. As a customer this might seem odd but as a retailer/installer it makes all the sense in the world

I want to thank you for taking the time to test the OTA scheduling issue and suggesting that the Hopper Plus may be the cause.

I was having the following issues with my Dish TV system.
1. The Hopper was counting satellite channels as OTA channels when scheduling an OTA recording and would return the error "All tuners are being used".
2. Network logos in the guide for OTA channels such as ABC and CBS were replaced with an "Over the Air" logo.
3. When using the 30 second skip on an OTA DVR recording there was a three second pause after the skip before the show would begin playing again.

I removed the Hopper Plus and all of the issues have been resolved.

Something I was not expecting is that the guide has reverted to the old version were there are four individual favorite channel listings. I thought the guide had been updated on all Hoppers to the new version with only one favorite channel listing. I did a guide update from the Diagnostic menu but the guide did not change. I'm not complaining about this because my wife and I prefer to have our own favorite channel listings and I like the older version of the guide.

Again, thank you for helping me with this issue.

New guide is on Hopper+/Android. My sole H3 still has the old guide (thank God!). My wireless Joey 4 (designed for Hopper+), has the horrible new guide.

One thing I have noticed with my new dual channel OTA adapter hooked up to my Hopper3, in the Dish Guide for OTA channels, if there is "no description available for this event," trying to record it the replay is "timer creation failed. Please try back later." So, no description no record. The single channel OTA adapter worked fine in this situation, until the #711 update broke it.
