Hells waiting room (El Paso,TX)
I am an otr driver and own a 09 Peterbilt 387 big rig. I drive the southern states and would like to take the D11 reciever in the garage and install it in the rig. I don't want to take my old phase 3 dish because I don't want to align the dish every time I want to watch tv. I was wondering if I get a track vision antenna can I use it with my D11 or is their a dish I can install that does not require alignment at every stop I make.

I'd be watching the used market closely for retired automatic dish setups. Those who have gone HD have had to replace their Ku setups. RV classified ads may be your new best friend.

All of the web sights that I have seen sell the dome antennas. I don't want to use a dome. I would like to use the black low profile antenna or one like it. If so where can I get it? And can I paint it to match the rig without having signal problems or loss?

That's because domes allow the dish to point at the satellite versus straight up. It comes down to how much exposed horizontal acreage you have to mount the dish.

It is your choice.

You shouldn't paint anything that the signals need to pass through; absolutely no metallic paint (regardless of what the metal is).

Just tell everyone that it is a hyper-accurate GPS antenna. ;)
