over the air free channels

how do i do a channel search on my solo311 reciever for free over the air channels like abc, cbs? i have an antenna in/ coaxile cable in back and this is hooked up to my antenna on top of the house.

Sorry to inform you of this but the 311 does not have an OTA tuner! That cable input jack is strictly for passthrough to a TV when the receiver is turned off.
