Morocco Africa
Guys,

I need help.
I know very little about satellite TV and need to get up and running.
We recently moved to Morocco (North Africa).
Questions;
  • Will US satellite systems work here?
  • What is the best satellite set up I could get?
  • HD?
  • If I were to buy a system in Morocco, could I put a card in from the USA and American satellite? (gotta have the SPEED Channel)
Someone please point me in the right direction.

Sorry to see ya go. Should have made better plans before you left. :)
There is a low possibility you could have used a Sling Box in the US to put your favorite shows onto the internet for you to watch elsewhere.

No, US pay satellite hardware will be useless outside North America.
FTA equipment should work, did you take any with you?
What are your electric power voltage and frequency?
Many receivers work on 110-220 VAC, and 50..60 hz, and only require a new power plug.

As far as I know, Speed Channel is a racing/car/motor sport channel, packaged for North America by FOX.
And I don't think it's distributed outside the North American Continent.
At least that's what I get from reading their web site.

There may be pay TV or FTA satellite providers covering your area.
I'm sure someone will come along in a bit with a list of satellites you might be able to receive.
What sort of motor-sports they might have, would be something for you to research.

Much international racing can be found on the internet.
I don't watch American racing, so I can't say if it's available or not.
