Looks like Dish is again showing all live sporting events from the Pac-12 regional networks on all those alt channels that have been sitting around unused for years. These are the events not being shown live on the main national network. This is something Dish used to do way back in the day but stopped doing a number of years ago (allegedly because of conditions laid out by the Pac-12 for not carrying the regional networks full time - who knows if that was really true).
Some are joined in progress (the dreaded “JIP”) which reminds me of the days when bandwidth for HD channels was so scarce that they had to be jostle it around amongst the sports channels. With so many RSN’s being dropped, I’d be surprised they have bandwidth limitations anymore. But it does make me wonder if the dropping of RSN’s is somehow behind this move.
Anyway....happy they’re back.
