They were loading slow around 3:00a.m. to 4:00a.m. this morning. I got aggravated and left.

Al

Edit: Now that I've been on a while, I'll say I'm having no issues now.

thanks voomvoom mine is still loading slow don't know what the problem is. all other sites loading fine.

I have noticed in the last 2 weeks or so packet losses from me to satellite guys, last night I did a couple tcptraceroutes (so they are not subject to ICMP limiting present on many routers) during these stalls, besides the routing funkyness, packet loss ran between %30-%100 for short periods, usually they last a few seconds, though some stalls last longer but usually not lasting more than 3-4 minutes, below is 2 results (irrelevent hops omitted):

1st trace during a stall:

Tracing the path to www.satelliteguys.us (65.99.220.89) on TCP port 80, 30 hops max

15 core101.cogent-213.ext1a.dal.pnap.net (63.251.32.82) 223.193 ms 218.414 ms 209.783 ms
16 border4.ge4-1-bbnet2.ext1.dal.pnap.net (216.52.191.94) 293.076 ms 113.381 ms 249.726 ms
17 * * * <- Problem on pnap
18 206.123.64.38 (206.123.64.38) 97.198 ms 95.825 ms 94.707 ms
19 206.123.64.110 (206.123.64.110) 97.749 ms 96.581 ms 97.225 ms
20 65.99.220.89 (65.99.220.89) [open] 95.143 ms 96.596 ms 99.598 ms

2nd trace during a stall:

Tracing the path to www.satelliteguys.us (65.99.220.89) on TCP port 80, 30 hops max

15 core101.cogent-213.ext1a.dal.pnap.net (63.251.32.82) 210.776 ms 203.529 ms 199.761 ms

And here is a trace today with no stall (healthy):

15 colo4dallas-3.border4.ext1.dal.pnap.net (216.52.189.10) 81.717 ms 81.178 ms 84.682 ms
16 206.123.64.38 (206.123.64.38) 81.185 ms 84.101 ms 82.169 ms
17 206.123.64.110 (206.123.64.110) 80.826 ms 81.641 ms 82.242 ms
18 65.99.220.89 (65.99.220.89) [open] 80.700 ms 81.475 ms 84.827 ms

I suspect pnap or Colo4Dallas are having some issues with their routing/interconnectivity, perhaps only affecting those who take certain routes (if Colo4Dallas uses multiple peers), so far today I have not experienced any stalls, while last night, they were constant, so in my professsional opinion, this is not a satelliteguys site issue, it is an issue with pnap and/or Colo4Dallas where they interconnect, recommended action is for Scott or LER to open a trouble ticket with their provider, making sure they in turn open one with pnap, nothing he does to the server wrt this issue will fix this.

It should be noted, I am using a text only browser with no java, no images, no scripting whatsoever, so the stalls I observed could not be caused by any of those.
