Pansat 2700A with Tivo

I cant get my Phillips Tivo to control my receiver. Pansat is in the list of devices that Tivo controls, but the Ir controler wont work. I would be satisfied to just set up all programs to record manually, but for this to work i need to be able to change the channels. Anyone figured this out ???
