Equipment:

1 x Pansat 3500S Complete System
Coax Cable 100ft Black
Motor Pansat PM 900S
Dish 36 Inch
LNBF Universal Single

From the documentation it is not clear, how the
Pansat 3500 S receiver shall be hooked up to the motor.

Do i have to use 2 cables
a) one from the GND-rectangle output to the PM 900S
motor
b) one from the Motor back to the INPUT of the 3500S receiver (doesn't work? as no plugs available? there
is still one cable that needs to go from the motor
to the lnb ...)

Or do i just connect the "INPUT" plug of the 3500S connector via an RG6 cable to the Motor and then the
motor to the Lnb with a RG6 cable? (i.e. both the
power and the signal are carried over the same RG6
cable?).

Also, what does it help to have 2 LNBS instead of
one if i use a motor? Do you get more channels with 2 different LNBs?

Hello and WELCOME to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA forum.....

One cable from the receiver goes to the motor then on to the LNBF.

For a Universal LNBF the L.O. should be set to 9750-10600

There are a few extra channels and some radio channels if you clamp a regular Dish or DirecTV to the side of your Universal LNBF, I would stick with what you have right now. Give us your zip and we will give you all the angles to the satellites from your area. Good idea to find and store your True South satellite before ever adding a motor. Makes life A LOT easier!

Thanks for the quick reply.

When you say "one cable" --- which output/plug is this on the Pansat 3500S?

The Ground/Rectangle one or the one which is called "INPUT" (the RG6 with a F connector)?

From satellite in to the motor then from the motor to the LNB, good idea not to use the motor to start :)

Pete,

thanks a lot for this quick turnaround. For your info, i had emailed 2 dealers to get this information and didn't get any answer back within 3 days!

Now i can try to install my system over the weekend ...

Any problems there is ALWAYS someone here to help, well the forum will be down Saturday, but any other time we are here to help!
