It will allow you to see DVB-S2 channels in SD/HD 4:2:0 and yes you will be able to do Blind scan with DVB-S2 as well.

Without the module you will have DVB-S SD/HD 4:2:0 with blind scan also.

And no, you will not be able to see 4:2:2 SD/HD with or without the module.

Fortunately my MAXHD still works fine even though it won't do DVB-S2.
