Just because they add them all together doesn't mean you have to watch the content you don't like. Hopefully though they will give you the option to not get it if you don't want it. Like Disney+ app has Hulu content but you don't get it if you don't subscribe to Hulu. Right now it is just guesswork on how they will make it.

Deals like this will either be bought out or run their course probably before the apps are all merged, unless the infrastructure is flexible enough for overlap.

There's a lot of that going around these days. It seems every time I turn around my Youtube Premium is going up another dollar.

So we went a la carte and now things are even more consolidated. I was looking at dropping HBO Max as they stuffed too many ads into the WEC events, but Paramount+ has EFL. We are going back to the having to pay for what we're not watching model of entertainment.

Hopefully it'll be more like Disney where you establish which tier you want.

Just wait until they merge all of Paramount+, Showtime, HBO MAX, and Discovery+. It will probable cost as much as a lower tier cable/satellite package.

I've warned customers about this for years. Many would express a "I'm sticking it to the man" when they would tell me they are cancelling their DTV or Dish TV service. I told them that these companies are going to wait until you are used to using their service and then they are going to jack up the rates. NOW I get people coming in complaining about their streaming bills going up. I tell them all the same thing.....you have 3 choices. Get an antenna and settle for what you get. Go to GoodWill and load up on DVDs and watch those. Suck it up.

The thing that really annoys me is when a customer gets one of those hacked devices that lets them get all kinds of channels "for free". Obviously the servers they use are cheap because these customers will call complaining about buffering...I'll go to their house and see that firestick.....I'll show them on my iPad that I can stream flawlessly and that they are using a hacked service and can't expect perfection from something ILLEGAL. I've actually lost internet customers because of those crappy hacked firesticks.

I am not willing as they keep changing the data and you keep having to block everything all over again. That is why I get the ad-free versions of the streaming services I use which includes Youtube.
