PBS will be reviving "Matinee at the Bijou" with a new 12-episode season in 2007. a series that aims to "faithfully replicate the pre-1960 movie matinee experience. Animated short films will be included as a regular part of each installment, all of which will be remastered in high-definition, with Betty Boop, Tom & Jerry, and the Fleischer Superman cartoons being named as potential candidates for the show.
