IMHO, the tech companies are probably pushing for this so that they can throttle services and information for their competitors. Which translates to more money for them and frustrated internet users.

Some state AG's got together and filed a lawsuit in federal court today over that mess. I hope they can get a hearing before any permanent changes are made.
