Was a great party, thank you to SatelliteGuys, VE and LionAV for the great reception and great prizes! I am sure to enjoy my new Spyder, but the wife will not let me touch a TV today since it is football. :)

Had a good time! Thanks to all who made it happen. Enjoyed meeting Scott and crew, in person. Was good to be able to discuss HD with the Echostar folks. And I even won a Mercury II Free-to-Air Satellite Reciever from sponsor Sadoun. Bob

Well folks after a long weekend of flying I am happy to report that I have made it home safely. :)

But boy am I tired. Time for bed for me. :D

Thanks again to everyone for everything!

Not sure about Scott's camera, but all of mine were taken with a C-5060, just like yours. It is a great camera.

The pictures did look familiar as far as depth and wide angle goes. I just got back from LA, from a reunion and just downloaded 200 pictures. Sure is a fine camera.

Glad to have all of the pictures of the get together. Would have been fun to be there. Maybe another time.

Keep up the wonderful work, and I think I'll keep the Olympus, although that Nikon takes some sweet pictures also.

Thanks again:

Lyle

congrats Bob on the receiver :)

After the wonderful time at the party last night, I had an interesting day, to say the least. I made it back okay, but my day started off on an ominous note.

For starters, when I Google-mapped the route from where I was staying to my cousin's house before I left, Google changed the "St." to "Ct."... So, at 8:07am on Sunday morning, I'm ringing the doorbell of some guy's house (woke him, I did!) and he did not seem amused. Time to whip out the mobile and get my cuz on the phone. Turns out I need to be about 12 miles further north!

The good news is, I was able to visit my two cousins for about an hour and showed them a video I had recorded of my brother and sister saying "Hi". I brought back a recording to play back to my sibs. The bad news? In the rush to get going to the airport, I left my wife's 5th Gen iPod at my cousin's house (it had the video postcard)! Argh.

And as anyone who went through there will tell you, DIA was a zoo with all the CEDIA attendees leaving (especially if you flew United). Fortunately, I was able to get my boarding pass printed at the hotel so I didn't need to deal with those lines at check-in. I made it to my gate with 25 minutes to spare. After that, it was pretty smooth sailing.

I'll upload my photos when I get a chance (need to reduce some of those red-eyes!) but here's the group photo in front of the banner. Comparing the picture quality from Scott's Nikon to my Olympus C-765, I notice how much "grain" my camera has. Time to upgrade my camera!

Thanks for the pics. Glad to see and hear everything went well.

I almost didn't recognize Gregg (Loewen). When he was here last month, to calibrate my new Samsung, he had shoulder length hair. :)

Foxbat:

Well, that turned out better than it might have. Its a good thing you were starting in Greenwood Village. There are places in Denver you would not have wanted to just knock on a door at 8am. :D

Hope your cousin returns the iPod to you quickly! But glad you made it home. DIA can be a zoo even without the hordes from CEDIA!!!

I would and could have, but work had a no vacation time scheduled (which got put back)

Yeah, I was hoping you would make it up from NM.

But CEDIA is in Denver again next year, so maybe we'll get to have another party!!!!

Ok Guys, I am back from Denver. The party was great! And the giveaways were amaizing!
Every single guest went home with a goodie-bag worth more than $100!
And in addition we had a dozen of ruffle prizes each worth several hundred dollars. Unbelievable!!!
We can't thanks our sponsors enough!

Foxbat's Photos from the LionAV SatellieGuys.US Party

As promised, here are most of my pictures from the party on September 16th. In honor of all the HD media presented at the party, the photos are in 16:9. Sorry they aren't true HD, but only 1600x900 in the interest of bringing you more HD within the limited bandwidth;).

Foxbat's Photos from the LionAV SatellieGuys.US Party, Pt. 2

More pictures. I even published one of my worse pictures, ever. I was in the process of telling Ilya how to adjust the zoom when the camera went off. It was not the effect of too much to drink (believe me, that would not be a pretty picture, either!)
