Corrado you requested a picture of my dish setup. I hope this help other newbies to see what a person can accomplish by taking the advise of all senior members Like Ice said, Read-R ead -And read,And dont be afraid to ask questions.FIRST DISH on left pointed at Gal 10r, second dish at 129w--white springs; Third pointed GAL4, Fortec Star on a DG-240. I could not have accomplished this set-up if not for all the help i received from you Guys, Thank You All very much.

I showed those pics to my wife and told her thats what I want to do, or just get one BUD, I got the look I was expecting:)

Why dont you buy a motor? Then you will need only one dish:D

He has a motor... look at the pictures again..

I have one of my dishes on a motor and 3 Prime Star dishes pointed at G25, AMC 4 and G10. I watch those Sats the most and it saves time waiting for the motor to move there.

Here are my Primestar dishes :)

The P* dishes are at SBS6 & G11. The 36" dish is at G10 with DBS for 119 and the T90 :)

motorized on the roof but with it dark out can't take a picture

Apologies to the OP for taking this somewhat off topic. Love the PrimeStar dishes, I hope to get my hands on a few eventually. :D

Re: the comment about only having a motor instead of stationary dishes.

Sometimes due to LOS issues having 1 motorized dish isn't feasible. Case in point: My current setup. I have one motorized dish that sees from about 72W-101W. I did a pretty comprehensive site survey at my location and this was the best I could do from any one location. However, I can get other more eastern and western sats from different locations. I have another stationary dish at the edge of my property for G10R, because I can't get it from my motor location due to 100ft tall pines obstructing LOS. But if I put my motorized dish where my G10R dish is, I would sacrifice the eastern end of the arc. This is one application where a motorized dish isn't suitable for everything.

Another example is AMC-1, the skew is way off on this bird, and a motorized dish isn't near suitable since the motor skews the dish as it moves. Because of this, I have a Globecast elliptical dish dedicated to this one sat. Since the skew on AMC-1 is around 20 degrees off, I can only get ~15 quality on the Pentagon channel tuned on my motorized dish - compared to ~90 quality on my stationary dish, solely due to the skew being off.

And as Gary Z noted, sometimes you want a stationary dish (or a toroidal dish) because a motor takes a little while to switch between satellites, especially when going to extreme ends of the arc.

Whats going on?

Satkinzo has a thread about the black triangles, but I cant view it! I know I sound insane. But everything else works can someone tell me about it?

Coathanger, Iceberg, have any of your neighbors accused you of being a spy, or something??? LOL
I am impressed with yall setup!

neighbor guy doesn't bother me anymore. He use to laugh at me when I would wheel my 6 foot dish out in front of my garage....he stopped laughing when I could watch games that he couldn't (and they involved his favorite college team)

some updated pics...the G11 dish now has the old DirecPC LNB on it

Roughly 36 x 25 inches?
That info on the back says it's .9 meter by .63 meters in size.

After reading all the threads around here, I think I'd just fire it up as is and see how you like it.
You can always spend money on it later.

Looks like two output connectors (can't tell for sure).
They should be combined with a 2x4 (or 3x4) switch.
It's a classic mod, and you can find all sorts of info about it here on the forum.
example switches for reference: 1, 2, 3.

yeah it looks like the two output model (pic 3 you can kinda see a 2nd output) so he would need a multiswitch
