Pictures of 1000.2 Dish

So how many 1000's are there now? What's the size differences? Is there anyway to tell by looking at them from some distance which you have (mine's on the roof of my 2 story house).

I'm just wondering if I should request the "latest and greatest". I have been noticing my local St. Louis HD channels having quite a bit of pixelation on occasion which I'm assuming is due to a weak signal.

Dish 1000.2 Signal Levels

Here are some signal levels for everyone to look at with the Dish 1000.2. Now, I don't know if these are as high as they could be because it is extremely overcast and nasty looking here. But here are the signals for 129 and a few random ones for 119 and 110.

Satellite 129
T01 - 86
T02 - 81
T04 - 92
T05 - 86
T06 - 76
T07 - 81
T08 - 87
T09 - 93
T10 - 87
T11 - 78
T12 - 90
T13 - 97
T16 - 85
T17 - 89
T18 - 63
T19 - 95
T21 - 86
T22 - 80
T23 - 85
T27 - 84
T30 - 94
T31 - 101
T32 - 85

Satellite 110
T06 - 108
T24 - 101

Satellite 119
T02 - 116
T11 - 120

Those signals look very good even on the 129 sat. But I ask again , how much bigger is the dish pan then the regular dish 1000? I had read somewhere it was about 2 " bigger than the old dish 1000 and that the mast was longer too. IT sure looks like better strength on even the 110 and 119 sats too.

I can say the mast is longer, because the installer mentioned that. But I didn't take measurements, sorry. When I get a chance to get up there I will take measurements.

Here are the dimensions of the 1000.2:
W 25.9"
H 20.7"
As opposed to the 1000:
W 23.5"
H 18.5"

Three satellites with just the 1000.2 lnbf. The fourth input on the 1000.2 lnbf would be used to connect another dish from the fourth orbital location to it.

All plus lnbs work with the 44sw. Also DP lnbs work with the 44sw. Legacy LNBs will not work w/44sw. BUT, Legacy receivers work w/o adapters on ports 2, 3, and 4 from 44sw, and port 2 from DP+ LNB. You'll need to drop a line for every sat (3 from the 1000.2, and 2 from DP and DP+ lnb) to the 44sw.

I *think* you're trying to say DPP instead of SW, with regards to the 44 switch. SW denotes Legacy. :p

No all lnb's will not work w/ sw44
DP lnb's will NOT work w/ sw44
Legacy lnb's are all that WILL work w/sw44
You can NOT use adapters w/ an sw44

From what you are describing you need a DP44 switch, an sw44 is a legacy switch

Edit, I should have finished reading the thread, as webby dude already pointed all this out

sw is what we refer to as the legacy switches sw-21 and sw-44. the DP refers to the DishPro switches so that would be DP-21 and DP-44. sw should not be used as an abreviation for switch on DP and DPP switches.
