I wonder if they have really started to convert programming over to the new system yet? I still have not received my smartcards, and no channel 998 yet. I seem to have all my channels w/AEP...

no cards yet for my three relics either. 501, 11 year old JVC 3500 and a 510.

Not yet... Look like they will start in May with HD, Internationals, Porn and Premiums.

Also it appears there will be another card swap by the end of the year.

Oh man. I just swapped out 12 cards this week at work. And, it wasn't easy. Many of the receivers are installed in ceilings. (Two of them weren't recognized by the receivers either. I still gotta deal with that too.)

And, they're gonna make us go thru this again?!!!

Someone already broke the purple cards I just got 4 months ago? What the hell is going on with these guys. I can't imagine switching all these cards out twice in the course of 2 years can be cheap.

How stupid is Dish Network? Why are we swapping out for G3 purple cards if its already hacked just to go to another card? Maybe Dish got some inside info about it getting hacked overseas and wants to be ahead of the game. I have read where they already had another card ready for the next swap. Why not go ahead and go with the card after G3?

It would be nice if they stopped shipping the G3s and started to ship G4s instead, at least then some customers only will have to do 1 card swap.

Maybe they should hire the company that does D*'s encryption. Then, they won't need to keep swapping cards. They'll just get it right the first time. (Ironic, as D* used to be the one most hacked.)
