Pixelation after install

i got my directv system installed a week ago and i notice pixelation on my 42 inch sharp hdtv. I can't really notice it on my other tv's because they are waay too small. When directv installed the dish they used the existing cable connectors that dish network installed over 5 years ago. Do you think i need to switch out the cable connectors coming from the satellite to tv's? My satellite strength are all in the 90's btw.

Try shaking all the connectors one at a time looking for one that produces the problem. Then try tightening them by hand,

Outside, remove the fittings one at a time and examine the inside for corrosion. Fittings exposed to water and freezing and thawing will look bad after a few cycles.

How long are your cable runs? Can you get the same problem on another TV location?

Is the problem only on a few channels?

Anybody else see anything?

make sure the installer didn't reuse rg-59 cable. hd doensn't do well on rg-59, but will still show a good signal.
