Hi,

I purchased a new Joey to add to my current setup, which is a 1 Hopper, 1 Joey deal.
When installing the 2-way splitter so that I can run a line to the additional hopper, is it alright to place this outside on the side of the house?
It would be most convenient if I could mount it on the side of the house directly next to the solo node. Is the splitter also weather-proof?

That'll work just fine. Make sure to wrench tighten any outdoor connections to prevent any water penetration. Nothing is "weather-proof", but no reason you shouldn't get many years of use out of it.

I ended up putting it inside the house. Figured it was time to properly install a cable and internet connection for my son's bedroom.
Got some experience now fishing up from the basement. Also took the opportunity to buy a few new tools including a compression tool for the RG-6 connectors and a new coax stripper.
The install went well, with no holes anywhere except right where I wanted them.
