Playmaker setup with existing Wally problem

I did search the forums, but did not find any clues that helped my specific issue. I have talked to Wingard tech support twice so far and they suggested replacing the Playmaker

I have been using a Wally with an auto King Dome for two years in my motor home. The Wally has the latest update. I decided to add a Playmaker for times when I cannot get a signal from my roof antenna.

the Playmaker setup goes directly to the check switch screen and stays there with no progress. I can close the check switch, but the scan screen does not allow me to do anything. I have verified 19.9v at the end of the coax. I have reset the wally numerous times with the same result. I have tried a manual check switch. I have done a check switch with no cable connected. I have tried different cables for the heck of it. I can re-connect the King Dome and it works fine.

Any ideas, or do I get a replacement Playmaker

try calling dish outdoors and see what they can do.

I have not. The PDF does not say what the update is for...

It is mainly for adding the eastern arc to the playmaker so it will be able to hit both arcs. May also have some additional bug fixes. You never know, but being on the latest and greatest may shake some things loose for you.

And my unit is a PA-1000, I do not see any updates referenced for my unit.

Maybe someone with experience with this issue will chime in.

Wingard could not talk me through a solution. They will send me an RMA for the Playmaker. Hopefully it tests bad.
