I have a vs2000 receiver and a hh90 rotor on my dish. I get a signal of 70 but when I search it picks up nothing.
LNB POWER-on
LNB TYPE-universal
Lnb FREQUENCY-11749
HIGH-5150 (changedto get signal)
LOW-11475
DISEQC-none
SEARCH OPTION-all
MOTOR-user
When search is done it says auto failed
My true south is supposed to be Gallaxy 3
thanks

Having trouble

Is your setting correct for the lnb?
You may have a "standard" type 1 or 2 LNB usaually there is information on the lnb that can help you determine the freq. which will help determine what you have. example Input freq. range:
Low band: 10.70 to 11.80GHz
High band: 11.70 to 12.75GHz
L.o. frequency:
Low band: 9.75GHz (1MHz @ 25 degree Celsius) this one High band: 10.60GHz (1MHz @ 25 degree Celsius) this one
These help determine type the example is a standard type 1
Hope this helps

coolsat

my lnb is coolsat
RF:11.70/12.20GHZ
IF:950/1450MHZ
GAIN:60db
NoiseFigure:0.6db
I changed from universal to standard but still dont pick anything up.

Is this the first time setting up system.
Do you have a satelite strength meter.
Some times you can have unit set up and have lnb signal strength but no quality.
Are you doing a blind search?
Are you scanning on Galaxy 3?
other questions to follow as these are answered.... will try to help as I can.
what is longitude and latitude of your location.
all important.... is the mounting pole perfectly plumb.

First Time- Yes
Strength Meter-no
I have tried auto & manuel searches
I am scanning Galaxy 3c 97 degrees w
67330 Latitude 37 degrees
Mounting Pole I will double check (ok)
This is all new equipment from FTA Direct

Do you have manual for hh90. Did you follow directions completely or were some of the items confusing.... sometimes it can all look greek, specially with add this subtract that this = a+b...etc.
Satelite mater will make a HUGE difference. Then you can locate and then fine tune.
If you have never done this.... follow instructions in manual and cross your fingers.
Also there are many settings on these boxes so sometimes it gets crazy.
But a blind search when aimed correctly will take several minutes and the signal quality strength will vary according to transponder and frequency.

Hope I don't get in trouble for this as some forums don't like links... but they are a sponsor.

Copy and paste Location of a help page.
Looks like your dish should be around 39 degrees
Motor should be at 37.

I have an old bb4 receiver that has signal & quality meter but I hooked it up and Galaxy3 is not in its sat list. there is a GE3 @ 87degrees & telestar 5K @ 97degrees I thought 97 is where galaxy3 was on my vs2000

I have went and got the in-line meter it is showing good signal after fine tuning the signal with the meter signal stregnth is 90.
My problem still exists no channels.

I do have exactly the same equipment and I still not getting any signal nor be able to lock channels, my zip code is 79927 and my comment/question is the following: When you made the setup of the motor/rotor, did you follow the USALS Mounting Mode's instructions or did you use the DiSEqC 1.2 mounting mode? I followed the DiSEqC 1.2 and I Still not getting any signal, I will try the other mounting mode USALS and keep in contact with you so we can help each other. I am also getting a sattelite finder to try to align the antenna to the . One last comment, change the following parameter of you original setup as follows: DISEQC-none to DISEQC-port 1 and make an auto search ans see if you get any channel.

I think this is a receiver compatibity issue. I re-scanned with the same result.
It could be that there is some info that needs to be manually re-entered.
After a bunch of hours I am stumped.
Just had another idea to try to see any channel I bypassed the motor/rotor went straight to the lnb manually scanned still NO CHANNEL.
