I'm sitting on 87 AMC 3 c-band using my USB DVB and DVBworld software. I've been able to find the NASA HD feeds, but the software is finding them on vertical polarity when Lyngsat and TheList show them as being on horizontal.
When I add the transponder manually and select horizontal..no signal. As soon as I switch to vertical I have signal.
How can this be? I do get picture on the supposed wrong polarity though.

sounds like your LNB is off by 90 degrees because they are on H polarity

what LNB are you using? Some like the GeosatPro C2, BSC421 etc the skew is off by 90 degrees

Sometimes, it doesn't take the LNBF to be off by 90º

on one of my GeosatPro C2s, I can get both H and V polarities on some transponders. Annoying...

Maybe it's a lack of proper dish peaking and alignment rearing its ugly head...

Maybe that's a case to justify a spectrum analyzer.... Yeah....
