Having read recently that many Voomers are complaining about PQ through DVI, I was curious to see if there's a consensus. Has HDCP hurt the DVI reception?

I think the complaints are mostly due to the fact that DVI requires the set to be calibrated and default settings on most sets will look better over component vs DVI.

Getting my set calib. on Monday-we shall see if this theory could be correct-will post after calib.

there shouldn't be any difference in PQ between non-HDCP and HDCP.

I haven't noticed any difference myself. I had read a couple of posts and threads with people complaining of poor PQ w/ DVI, and eschu had specificaly mentioned HDCP. I use DVI, and was interested to see what everyone thought. So far, 1/3 of those voting agree with eschu.
