I wasn't sure where to post this and thought thid was the closest related topic.
I have a Yamaha RX-V3000 receiver. My listening room is in the back of the house and gets really bad reception. I purchased a magnum dynalab ST-2 Single element dipole antenna. I mounted it at the highest point of my house outside and most of my stations come in much better but have some sort of noise. The RG-6 cable is probably 30-50 feet long from the antenna to the radio. Is there a better choice of antenna i can pick from? I live about 15 miles north of Philadelphia PA in a suburban area. Any thought or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks Chuck

If there is a 75-300 ohm transformer(balun) between the cable and antenna, you might try another one. I went through 3 or so before I found a really good one.
