power inserter

i just found out i need a power inserter to use my h25-100 recvr do u just hook cable from dish to inserter then into recvr or do you need something else? just looking to go tailgating. thanks and happy thanksgiving

That's all you need! Just make sure the lnb is a swm type.

What kind of LNB does the dish have, one coax connection (SWM) or four connections (legacy)? Legacy LNBs don't need power inserters but they do need BBCs for each tuner. SWM LNBs don't need a BBC, but they do need PIs.

Also, make sure the red connector on the PI goes to the LNB (maybe called ODU) and the white connector goes to the recevier (maybe called IRD).

If you don't have an SWM system the H25 will not work at all....
