Hi, I am in the market for an entry level HDTV for a smaller house, and I have been looking at the Powerspec LCD30D. I know there are some people who love it (30" LCD HDTV with DVI for under $1k), and some that think it is so so (25 ms response time).
In any case, I was wondering if anyone out there knew if the DVI input has HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection). I've heard that HDTV/Monitors without DVI-HDCP will be somewhat useless as HDTV's in a year or two, not because HDMI (which has HDCP integrated) will be the standard, but the fact that DVI does not have HDCP unless otherwise specified. Is this true? I hope this makes sense.
So does anyone know if the Powerspec (check out Microcenter's website, I can't like cuz I have less than 5 posts) has HDCP enabled DVI or just DVI? Obviously getting a screen with HDMI would be ideal, but I'm trying to pull HDTV on a budget (I know, as if that is possible) Thanks in advance for any advice.
