Never dealt with FTA before. Tuned an FTA dish for a customer back in june. Diplexed cable tv with FTA. Was working fine and suddenly lost sat signal.

If the diplexers are removed the sat comes in. Tried replacing the diplexers with new ones but still have the same problem. I get cable but no FTA.

Customer has a Topfield TF 3000i receiver. Any ideas?

Can you run a separate line for the FTA box? I have one line diplexed with an OTA antenna. I assume cable would work the same way because the frequencies are lower than satellite

debugging, one delicious morsel at a time...

Well, if you suddenly lost FTA, but the Cable TV still works....
...and you didn't change the dish, you didn't change the diplexer, and the coax connections are okay...
...that just leaves the Cable as something that might have changed...(?)
(unless you can think of something else that may have changed)

So, what if you leave the diplexers in line between the LNB and the Topfield, but just disconnect the incoming Cable?
Does the FTA still work?

Maybe the Cable company is putting something on the cable that's getting through your diplexer?

And I favor that additional coax, too.
Less loss to the signals.
