Did you actually try re-seating the smart card?

Lol Of course!! reset 5 times. just having bad luck. They claim they will send a new unit this time :)

Ha -- OK. Just making sure ;) . Good luck. I have had 5 Hoppers (currently have 4) and they didn't give me that much trouble activating...

Yup me either have done a few myself.

Sweet third time is the charm it worked. I think I may ditch the 2 joeys and go all hoppers :)

Btw here's some wiring diagrams I made regarding 3/4 Hopper setups :-

One of your diagrams showed up on DNS Portal. You are a very popular person, they look official. So much so installers are taking them as Dish training material.

But the head Guy for the Hopper equipment says not to cross client ports because it might cause a 1303 error.

I have run in both configurations for almost 2 years now with no issues. MoCA Good on all receivers.

I have been running four HWSs for 18 months now and have never gotten a 1303 error.

I'm sure the reason they say not to do it is because it could cause stability issues and dont want to support something they feel isn't stable. Maybe it works for some, but I'm sure there are reasons.

I'm running 4 hoppers and an "unofficial" wireless Joey here just fine too.

Four Hoppers and two Joeys. You can only watch one at a time. How many people in your household. How many other people have this many receivers. Just me and the wife. We have one HWS and the other two tvs are hooked up via HDMI. All three tvs get the same channel as the HWS.

Is 5 Hoppers the limit? Can I do 5 Hoppers, a Joey, and 2- 211k's for one system? Can I do 6 Hoppers and 2- 211k's? I currently have 5-922's, 622, 211, 3900. Dsih sent my a letter that I need to replace my 3900 by May 31, 2015. Thinking of upgrading my whole setup. I know they only let you mix 211's and hoppers. Can my new proposed setup be all connected to one dish? My current dish is a 100.2 (110,119,129) with a (61.5) dish 500 wing dish. Then I have 3 DPP44 switches. Any help on this would be great!
