Proton Communication Technologies, Inc. ( a subsidiary of Proton Electronics, and Avtrex, Inc. (, a provider of leading-edge personal video recorder (PVR) software, are jointly demonstrating a new PVR solution at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 8 to January 11, 2004. The product will be demonstrated in Proton's booth in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center: Hall SO 1&2, Booth 16414.

* Automatic recording of all episodes in a series
* Instantaneous search for shows based on
name actors, description, or many other criteria
* Automatic recording of future programs that
match a stored search
* Browse and play a library of MP3 music files
stored locally or on a network-connected home computer
* Display a slide show or individual digital
I'll check it out while I'm there. All of these that I've seen so far have been priced well over $1000.
