Question - 722, TV2 - HD capabilities

My 722 currently provides programming to two televisions... one tv is a HDTV (this is the tv that is connected directly to the 722, i.e. TV1) and the other tv (TV2) is SD.

My question is... if I replace my SD tv with a HDTV and set the new tv up as TV2 on the 722.... will I be able to view HD programming from the 722 if the receiver is in single mode? I know that this is not possible when viewing in dual tv mode.

I believe that the only way to output to TV 2 is thru the Coax (No HD), you could run an HDMI or Component to TV 2 but that would just mirror what is being watched on TV 1.

If you are in single mode, you can hook one tv to HDMI and the other by component. You will get HD on both tv's but you will be watching the same program. In single user mode, tv2 is just an additional input to record on or use pip.

Thanks for the info, folks. I guess there is no need to spend the extra dough for HD on my new tv if I do not want to spring for another HD box and monthly fee.
