Question about reciever's

I have a fortec lifetime ultra that work's great. I tried to order another one but they are out of stock. One of the boy's at support said i could get the pansat 2700 and it would do the same thing the fortec does just by useing fortec software. What do you think about that idea?

I heard the same, but I would not try it without more information.
I have an Ultra, but if I were to get another FTA receiver, I would not get another Ultra. There are better units, although they cost more too. Have you tried Sadoun.com for the Ultra, they usually have good stock on most of what they sell.

There are other models that are much faster, and might have other benefits not afforded to you in the Ultra. read some of the reviews on satelliteguys t oget an idea of what is out there. IceIceBerg does a good job in making practical comparisons to models that he has already reviewed, or owned.
