Question about VOD channels

I just recently got DirecTV service installed in my home. I notice quite a few VOD channels are availble, including those that I don't get the regular channel for in my programming package. For example, I don't get DIY Network, yet I have access to their VOD channel. I currenly have a 3-month free trial of all the premium movie channels (HBO, Showtime, etc). Will I lose access to the premium movie VOD channels once I drop them after my 3-month free trial?

yes. If you dont sub to the channel you cant get the VOD stuff for that channel

Sort of. My experience has been anything recorded off the channel(s) will stay on the DVR. Things you download off VOD have expiration dates on them and will go away when your trial expires. YMMV.

Just to clarify, it stays and is watchable until the expiration date, even if you cancel before that date. You then wouldn't be able to go download it again if you dropped sub for that channel.

good way to word it Matt. I forget that there are expiration dates on VOD stuff....I usually delete it long before that
