Hi guys,
Is it possible to watch a recorded movie on my directv dvr without any cable hookup to the antenna. I have moved from directv to Dish and no longer have
the antenna for directv, however I do have the old dvr and would like to view or put on dvd some of the saved movies.. Can I do this???
Thanks in advance........

After I upgraded to HD, I was still able to access recorded programs on my deactivated HDVR2. With the newer models, it will try to connect to the satellite and fail, but at that point you can use the LIST key to do that also. I don't know if there is a time limit after which it won't work, however.

yes I found that I still could access the recordings

You were right I can access all the movies I have recorded and am in the process of putting them on tape. Thanks Don
