Question: closed captions with Sling adapter?

I'm in need of a lot of help. Three questions here.

1) If I connect to the Hopper from outside my LAN with say an iPad, via the Sling adapter, I know I can watch live TV and my DVR recordings, but... Can anybody tell me if I can turn closed captioning on/off from the remote location so I can see the captions in the stream I get in my iPad?

2) If the answer is yes, will that option also turn the captions on/off on the video sent to the HDTV (connected directly to the Hopper)?

3) If I sling/connect from a remote location, will the video sent to the HDTV (connected directly to the Hopper) show whatever I'm slinging or does it work in the background?

Thanks!

1 NO, you would need an actual SLINGBOX.
3 The sling adapter uses a tuner/ playback in the background.
