Hello, more questions. I gave a guy a 1.2 dish a few years back and we set it up on sat 97* I believe it was a single not dual lnb I think standard its been awhile.
Now I want to do for him what I did here at my house and add a second lnbf for 101*. He only has one receiver. Since I will be adding a second lnb do I need to get him a single or dual lnbf? I know I will need a disqc 1x4 switch or a 22khz to make it work but not sure if I have to change his original to dual and get a second dual to make him be able to get both h and z transponders. any help will be appreciated.

Any additional LNB will be fine. It does not matter, in this particular instance, if it is single or dual or quad output. Nor do you have to change the existing LNB.

You are correct, you will need a switch to make this work. From the switch, one coax connection per LNB is all you will need.

no worries...now you know when you add the 2nd LNB it goes on the opposite side of the arc

so if you are standing in front of the dish facing it, it goes on the right side due to the reflection of the signal :)
