Quick Question On Hdtv Setup On Vip622

ON the HDTV set up screen what should I be using for aspect ratio to get the best pic possible, first off, I have a 50 inch Philips DLP set..the installer set mine to 4x3#2, but I find that when it is on there the SD channels are stretched so much they look like crap...I set it to 16x9 and the stretched deal is gone and I have the regular 4x3 image on the SD...why would he choose 4x3#2 when he installed my VIP622???

Sounds like the installer made a mistake or didn't set it and that was the setting from the factory. If you are usind a widescreen tv, the setting should be 16x9.

make sure the resolution is also properly set, either 1080I or 720P

yeah I have it set right, 1080i with 16x9...now the sd channels looks alot better since they are back in 4x3 and not stretched to fit my wide screen
