Do you think my move from charter is a good move? personally charter did give me a good deal..all premium movie channels for free for a year and everything but SD channel quality was shat...and HD channels weren't great...this thursday Dish is coming to install their new DIsh and charter is coming to fix my HD set..if charter fix my problem..then id tell the Dish guy..sorry but ill stick with cable...i am currently paying 50$ less than dish when dish comes to my house..
Not sure let me know your honest thoughts.

Well, I can't say comparing Charter, but I know I have had NO regrets leaving Cox cable. DirecTV, and now Dish's standard service beat the heck out of Cox's HD service! I'm paying a LITTLE more for Dish, but I'm getting a heck of a lot more channels and a lot better PQ.

Maybe someone who had Charter can give you a comparison there, but most people will say that Satellite beats cable on most fronts.

Good luck!

Also i heard dish network is going to be doing some price changes..and our bill will go up by 10$...rip off.

I am getting dish installed in 2 days (i can still cancel and call the whole thing off) my cable provider is giving me a deal to stay with them they will give me all premium channels movie for free for 12 months..which brings down my monthly payment to 80$ and that includes the HD tier..along the HD receiver..which i already have...and also includes my 5MB connection.

Its a hard offer to pass..what do you guys think>

If they are giving you the HD channels that you want, all movie channels, and HSI all for $80 I would stay. However, I'd be surprised if that is what you are getting (after additional fees).

Most cable companies will make a similar offer (though I have not seen any that sweet) to retain the customer, but they typically go away after 6 months. By that time you forgot when they started and get a bill 2-3 times what you were expecting because you forgot to discontinue the service.

I've never regretted switching from cable and Dish would have to get a whole lot worse (and cable a whole lot better) before I would even begin to think about a switch!

Hmm i c..well they promised for 12 months and everything...i get all the HD channels and all the digital channels and everything..but channes from 1-100+ look like crap...and i got the DCT6200 Motorola receiver...not sure..should the receiver be replaced?
ATM dish will charge me around 130$ a month which is 50$ in savings monthly..good/bad?

Also you c +10$ increase on my package is totally killing me.. 140$ a month..

The way I read that info on the price increase, there is only 1 combination of packages that would indicate a $10 a month increase. The way I figured mine, I'm only getting a $3 increase. now, I don't have the works, but I have enough for me. It's what will be the AT200, HD pacakge and HBO. The way I figured, it'll only be an additional $3 a month.

I only want locals from DishNetwork

audio static on 522....
