SF Giants star Wille McCovey has passed away. I remember when he went to San Diego while Ray Kroc was the team's owner. We called him "Big Mac".

A boyhood idol. I am sure the Giant will do something to commemorate his career. Of course McCovey cove was a good start.

I grew up a Dodgers fan, so I had an innate hatred for the giants. McCovey, however, always had my respect. One of the great players of the game. May he rest in peace...
