I have a MX-500 remote that I would like to use to operate these units separtely. Can the IR Addresses be set differently in the R15 and H20 so that using the learning technique, I'll get the desired result?
You should be able to change remote address in the menus of either one. Go to menu, settings, setup, remote and that should allow you to change the address.

I couldn't get them both working properly as AV1 and AV2. They still worked in tandem. So I left my H20 as it was and set my R15 to AV1 and that seemed to work for me.
