RC64R RANGE?

I would like to use this remote from another room in the house. The box would be one floor down and one room over. I would guess no more than 30 feet actual distance. There would be one floor and one wall in between. What is the range on one of these RF remotes and would this solution work on a H21-200 receiver?

It works great. Now I can listen to XM and TV piped through my whole house sound system and change stations without having to walk down the to tv.:up
